A) War Gunner Attack

1) War- I think of both of my grandfathers who served in the Navy during WWII. I think of Nazi germany. D-Day, my birthday. Bombs exploding, grey color, blood, the movie Saving Private Ryan.
2) Gunnery- snipers, Enemy at the Gates, navy warships, battleships, camoflauge clothing
3) Attack- Pearl Harbour, and the beaches of Normandy, Buildings being shot at. The war in Iraq, Loud noises of gun and soldiers yelling and screaming.

B) My strongest association with WWII is my grandfather on my mother's side. He served in the navy from the time he was eighteen until he was twenty five. He was stationed in Pearl Harbour when the Japanese attacked. After that, he was stationed in the Phillipines. He tells stories about the horrors of war nearly every time I see him.
